Profile

In ValuedProfessionals, every user gets a professional profile. This profile consists of knowledge elements from our central Expertise Library and is made up of three categories:

  • Personal Characteristics
  • General Skills
  • Professionals Skills
The user must assess their own level on every expertise. People Managers have the option to override this level when necessary.

To assess an individual’s personal characteristics, one or more psychometric tests are at the user's disposal. Furthermore, co-workers can be asked to evaluate a user's profile; the outcome can be used to adjust or validate values.

Marking of Preferences

Users can mark personal preference for the skills and expertise in their profile. There are three preference levels:

  • Core Expertise. This is the core set of knowledge and skills that makes up the majority of the individual’s work and expertise. The user considers this central to his or her personal development and wishes to emphasize this most.
  • Normal Expertise. This is expertise that the individual is willing to utilize, but is not the center of his or her professional focus.
  • Rather-not Expertise. This is knowledge or skills that the professional has, but would rather not apply.
The preferences settings are used to create the profile page and are input into the bilateral matching process.
