Expertise Library
The Expertise Library contains the central inventory of personal characteristics, skills, languages, certificates and competencies that are used for the composition of professional profiles, role and job profiles.
The library has been in development since 2009 and consists of thousands of elements. The central administration is carried out by ValuedProfessionals. Further completion and maintenance are carried out in close cooperation with partners from different business sectors to make the library broadly applicable.
Every ValuedProfessionals user gets complete access to the Expertise Library through the browse and search functions.
The Expertise Library has the following features:
- Nine levels and level descriptions per element. Level descriptions are targeted toward behavioral examples
- Searchability by expertise name and description
- Generalization/specialization feature; this allows, for example, a generic competency labeled 'programming' and a specific one labeled 'javascript programming'
- Comment options for users to give feedback on errors or suggest changes and new elements.
- Option to add company-specific competencies
